Teleport Services

Teleports are the ground-based side of the global satellite network. They provide terrestrial networks with access to satellite transponders in orbit 22,500 miles above the Equator. Teleports are the channel by which satellite can be integrated into complex networks involving fiber, microwave, wireless and mobile technologies in order to expand their reach:
- beyond the edge of the network
- broadcast one-to-many
- feed bandwidth hungry applications
- content delivery
- end-to-end networking

OTE owns 11 earth stations, both in C-BAND (5925-6425MHz) and Ku-BAND (13.75-14.5 GHz). Due to their geographical position, they receive and transmit signals to satellites which are in orbit between 45° W to 90° E. OTE also cooperates with international satellite organizations, such as INTELSAT, EUTELSAT, HELLASSAT for the provision of all satellite communication services.

The OTE's satellite earth stations receive and retransmit signals to Europe, Middle East, Asia, America and West Australia.
