For a second year in a row, OTE has been granted an award for its Corporate Responsibility activities, by CR Index. As last year, OTE received the “Silver” level distinction, which reflects the company’s high performance in the field of Corporate Responsibility (C.R.).

CR Index is internationally recognised as a benchmark for the comparative assessment of business performance in the field of Corporate Responsibility (C.R.). In some countries, it is used as the national indicator for CR performance. In Greece, CR Index started in 2008 by the Corporate Responsibility Institute, in cooperation with the non-profit organisation BITC (Business in the Community) and the participation of major companies.

On the occasion of this distinction, Mrs Deppie Tzimea, OTE Corporate Communications Director, commented: “OTE’s participation in CR Index for a second year in a row shows its support in a serious effort to encourage Corporate Responsibility in Greece. We are glad that our efforts are acknowledged and we are committed that we’ll continue, focusing on the improvement of OTE’ s operations, for the benefit of stakeholders –employees, customers, society and the environment”.

Through its “Building Ties” Corporate Responsibility programme, OTE has intensified its efforts towards the systematisation and development of its Corporate Responsibility practices, as well as their alignment with international standards. OTE’ s Corporate Responsibility reports’ evaluation is based on international standards and indexes, such as GRI and FTSE4Good.
