As part of its strategy to constantly upgrade broadband services, OTE announces its intention to proceed, for the fifth time during the last years, to an upgrade of ADSL speeds throughout Greece, without any additional cost for the customers.
Being the main new technology driver in the country, OTE systematically upgrades broadband speeds since 2006. This way, OTE contributes decisively to broadband uptake throughout Greece.
The upgrades under way refer to the following:
· Those, who have a 2Mbps ADSL connection, will get doubled upload speeds.
· Those, who have an 8Mbps ADSL connection, will have upgraded download speed up to 24Mbps
· Those, who have a 24Mbps ADSL connection, will benefit from the new competitive pricing policy, which will be announced at the beginning of the upgrades.
After the completion of the above upgrades, offered ADSL access speeds will be:
· 2Mbps / 512 Kbps
· up to 24Mbps / 1 Mbps
The above speed upgrades refer to both new and existing customers, households and business, retail and wholesale.
OTE’s ADSL network brings broadband services to over one million households and businesses all around Greece. OTE has installed more than 1.5 million ADSL ports in more than 1,500 different points of presence nationwide.
