In relation to articles in today’s media that attempt to connect OTE with Mr. P. Karakostas and also refer to a money transfer from Siemens to ΟΤΕ International, an OTE subsidiary, OTE announces that:

1. Mr. P. Karakostas was visiting OTE and its subsidiaries during the period 2001-2004, introducing himself as representative of major international corporations, among others, T-Systems, a Deutsche Telekom subsidiary. From the research conducted so far, there is no evidence that OTE or its affiliates have executed a contract with Deutsche Telekom and its affiliates with the involvement of Mr. Karakostas. The research is continuing and OTE will revert if necessary.
2. In relation to the alleged transfer of €1,100,000 from Siemens to ΟΤΕ International in 2001, OTE invites everyone in possess of relative evidence to present it. OTE reserves all its rights in respect to the allegations.
