OTE announces its intention to upgrade ADSL access speeds throughout Greece, without any additional cost for the customers, as part of its strategy to increase broadband penetration in Greece.
Following its systematic investments for the expansion of its broadband infrastructure, OTE is planning to upgrade the existing nominal ADSL access speeds, as following:
· All 1Mbps connections will be automatically upgraded to 2Mbps.
· All 4Mbps connections will be automatically upgraded to 8Mbps.
Following the completion of the upgrades, offered ADSL access speeds will be:
· 2Mbps
· 8Mbps
· Up to 24Mbps
Both new and existing customers, households and business, retail and wholesale, will benefit from the ADSL access upgrades.
At the beginning of the upgrading procedure–estimated to take place in April-, OTE will announce its new competitive tariffs for ADSL access speeds.
The above speed upgrading will permit faster data transfer, as well as the use of advanced broadband services that require larger network capacity.
OTE’s ADSL network, with 1430 points of presence nationwide, brings broadband services to one million households and businesses.
