OTE and COSMOTE received important distinctions in the “Thalis - CEO & CSR 2011” awards, in the context of the CEO & CSR Money Conference 2011 “Ethical Entrepreneurship”, held recently.

The event was attended by the Chairman and CEO of the OTE Group, Mr. Michael Tsamaz, who was voted by the audience as the “Best CEO in CSR 2011.”

Respectively, OTE was voted the “Most Popular CSR Company,” whereas the COSMOTE and OTE Corporate Responsibility teams achieved first and second place in the category “Best CSR Team 2011” respectively.

The “Thalis – CEO & CSR 2011” awards are organised by the Money Conferences and “Hrima” Magazine and have become a well-established event, that awards, on an annual basis, companies and executives with a remarkable and proven track record in social and environmental issues. The winners of the awards were determined through an electronic vote held on the website www.hrima.gr, which lasted for 2 weeks. A total of 1,027 people, business executives with experience in CSR actions, participated in the vote.

The above distinctions will be added to the rest of the recent distinctions that have been received by the two companies and confirm the effectiveness of their Corporate Responsibility programmes.
