The use of Internet and the use of the mobile devices is growing more and more on a daily basis, allowing us to join thousands of websites and mobile services, offering a great source of communication, knowledge and fun for the young and older people. However, this fascinating world of technology and Internet, also offers hazards, which most of the times are very difficult to notice. At ΟΤΕ and COSMOTE, we have got the belief that prevention and confirmed information can ensure the safe use of the Internet and use of the Mobile device, and so, we have carried out a series of actions, in order to protect and raise children, adolescents and parents: We have developed and marketed the related service of «Online Protection», the Online Protection service, apart from providing an integrated protection for your e-mails and your computer through Firewall, Anti-Virus and Anti-Spam systems, it also offers you the enriched functionality of Parental Control
We provide information and Action Alert through Saferinternet.gr, by the Greek Center for Safer Internet, which is under the auspices of the European Commission and is the National Representative of the European Network of Awareness (INSAFE)
We support the efforts of the «Adolescent Health Unit» (A.H.U.) of the Second Department of Pediatrics - University of Athens, «P. & Α. KYRIAKOU Children’s Hospital»
We sponsor the operation of the Help Line «ΥποΣΤΗΡΙΖΩ 800-11- 800-15, free of charge», which is aimed at teenagers and their families, providing support and advice on issues related to using the Internet and the mobile device (harassment, addiction, harmful content, etc.).
